Feelings Created by Camera Angles

I commented on both Maria's and Miguel's camera shots.

For Maria, I commented on her point of view shot, chocker shot, reaction shot, and her head-on shot. The one I liked the most was her Point of view shot because it really made me feel as if I was inside her eyes and chasing her brother. the way she incorporated both of her arms in the shot really helped create the illusion of looking through her eyes. The choker shot reminded me of when movies zoom into the main character right before they show a flashback. This particular shot is told to be "revealing" or "unflattering" with that said, it helps the viewer feel closer to the character. Her reaction shot was amusing yet intense. His emotions were so strong that it made me feel scared for him and even wonder what would've made him react that way. Her head-on shot was very funny. The way the camera fell made me feel as if I was punched and fell to the ground.

For Miguel, I commented on his establishing shot, high angle shot, reaction shot, and flash shot. My favorite shot was his establishing shot because it was so pretty and it gave off calming energy. I thought that his shot would've helped the viewer understand the setting. His high angle shot was very cute. The way the camera looked down on his brother made him look even smaller and the hoop look even taller. This would help the viewer grow attached to him as he might seem "small and vulnerable" because of the angle. His reaction shot was very funny to watch. Like Maria's brothers, his reaction was so vivid it made me wonder what video he was watching that made him react like that. I also commented on his flash shot. This shot was also very funny to watch. Because the frame is dark at the beginning it created suspense and tension as the viewer had to wait for something to happen. Once he flashed onto the frame he scares the viewer watching it.
